Kahe Point Beach ParkKahe Point Beach Park is one of our favorite and most recommended snorkeling locations on Oahu. The water is warm, clear, and has high sea life population making this an awesome location to Snorkel, Swim, or Dive.
Kahe Point Beach Park, also known as Electric Beach, is located near a power plant that outflows clean, warm water into the ocean through two giant pipes. Kahe Point Beach Park is shallow near the shore and gets deeper as you head out further into the ocean. The water is about 20 feet deep at the opening of the pipes, which is also a great location to Snorkel. You can expect to see a lot of tropical underwater life while exploring Kahe Point Beach Park. Keeps your under water cameras ready to capture butterfly fish, parrot fish, damsel fish, surgeon fish, tang, wrasse, squirrel fish, big eyes, perch, trigger fish, Humuhumunukunukuapuaa, goat fish, snapper, hawk fish, jacks, mackerel, cornet fish, needle fish, crustaceans, invertebrates, and a lot of healthy coral. You should also see many Hawaii’s Green Sea Turtles and Spinner Dolphins. Kahe Point is main resting ground for these dolphins.
