Poolenalena (Po’olenalena) Beach Park, Wailea-Makena, HI

Poolenalena (Po’olenalena) Beach is one of the best locations to snorkel in Maui. You can safely snorkel the Middle Rocky Point and/or the South Rocky Point, and come across tropical fish, Chromis, Dascyllus, Eel, Goatfish, Hawkfish, Morrish, Puffer Fish, Unicornfish, Wrasse, Caves, Coral, and many Sea Turtles.

We highly recommend snorkeling around the South rocky point to Chang’s Beach. During this swim, you will come across ocean depths between 3 to 50 feet and various fish species.

The facilities include public porta-potties in the Northern parking lot and showers near the beach at the South entrance. You will have an amazing experience at this snorkeling location.
