Poipu Beach Park

Poipu Beach Park, Koloa, HI, offers a beautiful place to snorkel with onsite facilities. Poipu Beach Park is one of the few places in world that has a small island off the beach that is connected by a natural sand spit (tombolo). This location offers decent snorkeling, where the right side of the tombolo offers the best snorkeling, but its always crowded.

Poipu Beach Park is also known to have endangered Hawaiian Monk Seals resting on the beach and many times you can see Hawaiian Sea Turtles. The depth at this location is no more than 10 feet, making this great shallow place to snorkel.

You can expect to see Eel, Goatfish, Surgeonfish, Wrasse, Coral, Sea Cucumber, Sea Turtles, and  Monk Seals.
